A batch of rarely seen, unused concept artwork from Alien: Covenant by artist Khang Le was recently discovered and shared in our forums past our very ain member Nighttime Nebula. The artwork depicts a variety of Alien hybrid concepts, David'southward experiments and ecology designs which didn't make it into the final cut of Alien: Covenant . If we tin confirm these are official then it would announced they was worked on in 2014, i think it would be very interesting if we ever see whatsoever of the earlier pre Logan Drafts come to lite ;)

Can't argue with how proficient Covenant turned out however these concepts are very interesting and wonderful! I'thousand not a fan of the Engineer monsters simply everything else especially with David looks spot on. Perhaps this could be used in the adjacent movie.

Landscape art is astonishing.  It could have added to the movie but what we got was very minimal.  Too bad.

I think this concept art could very likey be used in a film that takes identify inbetween prometheous and covenant. in that location is a whole planet and but having that one pocket-size urban center on an unabridged planet is ridiculus. over the couse of 10 years I am sure that david would travel to other places on the planet. alos if the engineers in covenant are indead a dissimilar spiecies or race like many of united states have thorised, and then they would have different reactions to the blackness become as the existent engineers witch are most likely somewere else on this planet. these engineers could exist the ones in the concept art shown. this would as well add some runtime to a script thought to brusque to make a moving-picture show out of. david going to the planet killng engineers and killing shaw.

Very interesting indeed & stunning artwork to say the least! I agree with y'all these do for more with what I thought we'd accept seen with respect to David's "experiments" while on the planet. Again, just my take and what I'd hoped that Covenant could have been.

Instead we were given endless scenes of David and Walter discussing Shelley and Byron every bit well equally a whole segments of flute playing with "I'll practise the fingering...." being quite perchance the most ridiculous line uttered in recent years serving only to make an even bigger consummate joke out of the direction this series for which (and once again I stress these are only my thoughts and naught more), I simply can no longer bare to follow!

This hodgepodge of torrid crap Sir Ridley seems determined to take this series. I don't empathise. Delight, SOMEONE Explicate TO ME WHAT'Due south GOING ON! I'grand missing something, I have to be! The very accomplished and esteemed Mr. Scott created this wonderful mythos  - well created on film, to exist fair Dan O'Bannon, the original author and Walter Hill the producer actually wrote and "created" Alien and its subsequent sequels - withal, either way I don't understand why he seems to be fierce it all down! At present even saying "...it's not about the 'large chap anymore but about David, and the philosophical implications of creationism...." WTF!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Oh Ridley! Why oh why! I understand y'all've merely turned 80, I sympathise you're asking those "big questions" of what comes adjacent, Simply this is Scientific discipline Fiction not the Life & Times of Whatever College Power you lot align yourself with! Seriously, and I apologize to all of you AND the audience with whom I watched Conflicting: Covenant with for my uncontrollable laughter and giggling when the fully formed Xenomorph pops out of Orhram's(?spelling sorry!) and does the whole "Christ on the Cross" pose! I'm pitiful just even if I hadn't already been laughing well-nigh the fact that Orhram had just trusted David later on telling him he was "...going to blow a pigsty in your perfect composer...." yet then sticks his confront directly over an opening egg on David's say and so ii minutes later made admittedly no sense any!! And was quite laughable to myself at least.

I'm starting to really believe the Honest Trailer version of this movie that this was not really a colony mission but simply a new regime program to rid world of idiots. Harsh words I know but Come up ON!!!

Somewhere along the way either I or these movies took a left turn at Albuquerque and I am begging someone to explain to me what I've missed! I truly hateful this! Who knows Chris some of information technology does seem to add up, some of it a bit different just the Source was cryptic with what they said so that there was no clear answers only points nosotros have to connect ourselves.   Much like the TWO monsters, they never came and said like.. "nosotros got this one Monster thats like a Xenomorph, but with a elongated head like the Necronom 4 and Ultramorph and David created it" and and then " oh and we got another that has a shorter bulbous caput thats transparent and David did not create it"

Information technology was just disclosed as.

Two Monsters, both similar nevertheless different to the Xenomorph.

*Ane is like the Necronom iv/Ultramorph

*One is like a fresh the Original Giger Design (only as well some Alien 3 concepts)

*Ane is more pale than the Xenomorphs and Transparent

*One has Dorsal Tubes, other Just Spines

*One has a very elongated head the other a bulbous caput

As far as the Pathogenic Organism Origin, at that place are some signs of what they draw in these concepts, including those Worm Thingys, they are pretty much exactly as described to me.

Impressive, I like the film of the Xeno that looks similar it has a fish inside its head (third from the bottom). The Engineer head that looks similar information technology has a serpent coming out of its eye looks awesome. Sure it looks good but I wonder if it would take been a good movie or if it still would take had a lot of the problems that Prometheus has.

This might take been amend since Conflicting Covenant was a robot pic with mostly disappointing characters. I wonder if these are official pictures or some fan made things.

Yes information technology is foreign that they only seemed to have i city at the planet. Wouldn't they take had more than that since I gauge that there were more Engineers there than what nosotros saw in the film.

I am not too certain about that, simply because you are proficient with graphics doesn't mean that yous are a skillful writer so these are two different things but I meet what you lot mean. He should have cypher to do with the story. Scott is good with the visuals only information technology goes to crap when he is trying to affect the story so we get disastrous things similar David creating the Xeno which I actually hope won't exist the thing in the cease. David has a large enough role the mode it is and that is lame. Yes they should tell him that storytelling isn't his affair so he has got to show some humility. Just because he is good with visuals doesn't mean that he is someone that shall have a hand in everything.

I liked to meet the differences betwixt these 2 merely it became slow towards the end of the chat. LMAO! That is a hysterical mode to put information technology, I am laughing at the way you said information technology but information technology is true. The direction that this is taking is actually irksome, information technology doesn't make me interested in another picture.

Y'all implied that the moving-picture show was about the Xeno originally. I remember that it was more about people finding something that they didn't sympathize and weren't prepared for so it was non nearly the monster really although it was an of import part, information technology is about the themes that is how I look at it.

I am non interested in the David story, leave that to some spin-off but don't make alien about that. David is not the reason why I am watching conflicting related movies. To me he is only a part of the story, not what it is nearly or should be about.

Nah you didn't offend me at all, I concur with much of what y'all wrote (not everything) but I would probably take written my criticism in another way.

I dont ordinarily write but today i will. I liked the look of the artwork, and this is the problem every bit Conflicting artwork gives u.s. false hope. The original Alien invoked images of something really alien (unlike most Sci Fi movies) The whole wait and feel was other - worldly and disturbing. This is what drew me to the Conflicting universe and what made me want to run into more than. It drew me to the surreal art of Giger and Beksinski. It did non drive me to ponder the origins of man. The fact that the space jockey is a humanoid in a adjust almost made me cry. The fact that "people of earth" have their paws all over the Conflicting Dna has but ruined it for me. Damon Linlelof did what he does best and created a crap screen play that cannot be resolved ("Lost" anyone), and dont even mention the characters from both recent sequels! I quite liked Alien two-4 because they kept the Alien as something unknown / not connected with World, at least in where it originally came from. I guess it was just too difficult to continue the Conflicting story in the direction that the dandy artwork that nosotros see always suggests, and go on it "unreal", keeping it Conflicting. The whole thing has lost its Alienness, i need to go back to my Giger and Beksinski books for this at present. Can it exist rescued? I dont think and so, not by a big studio anyways.

My recommendation. An Alice in wonderland / Magician of Oz style film, with minimal actors gear up in a Necromicon style greyscale globe full of imaginative sets and creepy as hell. If David has to be involved and then make him the wizard, only creep us out FFS.

Lindeloff did non create much of what we got, information technology was still based off Jon Spaights Conflicting Engineers.

FOX felt that the Engineers ideas were something to concentrate on more and to tone down the Xenomorph connection as far as being a kind of literal Prequel, and having to show case Eggs, Face Huggers and Chest Busters.

Prometheus had flaws for sure, Lindeloffs drafts were not as untidy every bit the bodily movie nosotros ended up with, and as far as sequels, FOX felt in retrospect cutting the Xenomorph out and moving abroad from Alien was a error and that really showing the Cosmos of the Xenomorph and leading up to how information technology arrived on the Derelict on LV-426 was the way to go.

Which gave united states of america Alien Covenant by Harper and Logan and well this story was fifty-fifty more of a hash job and mess.
